TRAVELER SPOTLIGHT
Simon
Physical Therapist
When asked what his dream assignment is, Simon says, "I think being a traveler is a dream assignment in itself because you get to see the country." Simon started traveling in May 2006 and keeps going because he's addicted and not yet ready to settle in one particular place.
Meeting a wide variety of interesting patients from so many backgrounds is one of the reasons Simon is so passionate about traveling. He enjoys the learning experience that each assignment provides and the great experiences he has with patients. One of his most memorable experiences happened at the end of an assignment. He says, "An 11-year-old I had been treating gave me a nice plaque for working with him.
Nothing could have made me feel better that day and reminded me that I would never have met him if I weren't traveling."
In addition to meeting great people all across the country, Simon has been able to have great adventures while on assignment. His favorite location so far has been San Francisco, where he was able to explore and experience one of the best cities in the nation. Simon says, "I saw famous comedians, walked the Golden Gate Bridge, visited Alcatraz and went to Six Flags in Vallejo."
Simon doesn't know where his next job will take him, but he knows it will be another adventure full of new friends, wonderful patients and exciting experiences. His advice to other travelers is " Take advantage of every site and attraction you see on your way, and take lots of pictures because you don't know if you'll ever be back."

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
Jamie Carter
Recruiting Specialist
Jamie says that coming to work is sometimes more like hanging out with good friends, which has made her time with Destination fly by. She joined the company in November 2007 and has loved her job from the start.
She says, "We have such a great crew here, everyone is eager to help each other out and get to the end result of booking assignments." Jamie appreciates the positive and competitive environment that keeps her looking forward to Monday.
Jamie enjoys a little friendly rivalry at work and at home. She says, "I'm slightly competitive, so whether it's playing darts or blackjack it's always a good time." Jamie also cycles competitively. If she's not racing, she's training with her team or going on group rides around the valley. Luckily, her husband cycles too so they spend time on their bikes together.
Jamie comments that she feels lucky to work at such a great company. Destination also feels lucky to have Jamie there. Denese Nelson said that she measures all new interviews against Jamie. No wonder the staff is so great!
